Shilo’s grandfather developed the sulphur fertilizer industry in North America, and Shilo continued the legacy, working across all areas of his family’s calcium, transportation, and fertilizer businesses. The family's decades-long commitment to cost-effective technologies propelled their products to become industry leaders while maintaining the lowest-cost production in the market.

As the Chief Operating Officer at Tiger, Shilo led a team of 500 employees, spearheaded the development of multiple calcium and fertilizer plants with custom in-house technologies, and established a robust logistics division comprising 140 railcars and 110 trucking fleets. Under his leadership, the output of the plants surged by 200%, and the business was eventually sold at 9 x EBITA.
